  The measurer mis-measured our kitchen counter, leaving too little room for the faucet.when it was installed. The installer left without telling me that he hadn't cut the hole for the faucet. After I called the scheduler, the installer returned the next day, removed the backsplash, and took it to be lathed down to a thinner dimension. At that point we were able to reconnect the faucet and disposal.. The backsplash was reinstalled today. Schedulers have been helpful. Installers are the weak link. Remaining problems: 1) Gouges in wall around the backsplash; 2) A half-inch gap between the backsplash and the wall-tiles above it; 3) They did not secure the dishwasher to the new countertop so it falls out on the user. I cannot remember, in all my 62 years, ever working with a contractor who hired such incompetent workmen.
